yea for like 30sec in all the rounds combine, the rest of the time he was just pushed up againts the cage not doing shit

dude, vera did really good in the first 10sec or rnd won, & then for 4min & 50sec. he was just pushed up againts the cage & getting punched, so he lost round 1
Round 2, he did better & knocked him down, so i think he won Round 2
Round 3 was pretty much like round won & i think he lost that round
therefore couture wins via split decision

Randy Couture is already a legend!, no question about it. but his win against Brandon Vera? He don’t deserve it!!!. He got hurt by Vera’s kicks. He got knocked down. no take downs… VERA won the fight!!!

Im a big fan of Randy, but Vera clearly won this match. There’s a dilemma on the way judges score nowadays, they focus on the basic skill not on the damage dealt to the opponent. Dana if you’re reading this, this is a clear wake up call for you man. I see its all about money, nothing but benjamins. The decision in this fight really sucked big time. Anyways, we know BRANDON will be back. Make us proud Brandon. MABUHAY KA KAPATID!

vera won, randy didn’t do shit, he can’t even take down vera. all randy did was hold on to vera to the cage. and vera was doing well being defensive on the take down which randy specialize in wrestling. so what do you want vera to do wrestle randy one of the the great wrestler in UFC, no way off cource not. vera did more damage, and in the grappling they were stalemates. randy was not doin anything. VERA CLEARLY WON, the UFC dana white, the crowd, are all over randys NUTS, thats why he won.

Love Couture but I agree. The decision wasn’t a travesty but I just didn’t see it being Couture’s. It’s a fight and Vera simply did more damage in the second and third rounds. The most significant thing that happened in the third round was the takedown and mount by Vera. How Couture failing to do that for the entire round outweighed Vera succeeding at it is beyond me.

I think Vera won. Couture won round one – he had control and a takedown, and Vera landed hardly anything. Round two was Vera – stuffed 5 minutes of takedown attempts, clearly did more damage and dropped Couture. Round three was Vera – stuffed 5 minutes of takedown attempts, did a little bit more damage, got a takedown and gained a dominant position.

Randy won… u cant give vera the decision because clearly randy took the first round by controlling the whoel fight against the cage. 10-9.
second round vera landed some hard hits but randy controlled most the fight again.. still ill give it to vera 10-9. third round comes around little exchange both connect.. randy gets taken down but gets back up and controls the fight against the cage again… you cant give vera the 3rd round.. yea it was a boring fight but i had couture winning. 29-28…

Judges have favoritism…on Couture. It should be Vera who won the fight. Vera managed to resist the take down of Couture, and Vera landed more punches and kicks than Couture.

I’m a huge Randy Couture fan, but that was one of the worst decisions I ever saw. Vera hurt him bad in the second round with a body kick, and mounted him at the end of the third round. Other than that it was an even wrestling match. Style-wise, this was a really bad matchup for Randy, and I really think he lost this fight, even though I was rooting for him the whole fight.

Looks like Randy pulled it off. Vera is still a dangerous striker though. He hurt Randy bad with some body kicks, but Randy’s wrestling and octagon control pulled him through.

True, but I don’t judge him on his age.I’m judging him on his skills and abilities,and his performances.
Like the NOG fight was a great match.I was also impressed with how he did against LESNAR,you know what i mean,he did better than MIR.
He’s had some good matches lately,they just haven’t ended favorably for him.
I think he just might suprize alot of people.If not then I’ll give up on him too.

I hear ya though, I really meant, out cold, stiff, toes curled.
One would have thought he was KOed with that one shot Nog hit him with,(if you recall) but amazingly he wasn’t.
I like both these fighters,I’m just hopeing for a good fight.
